Volunteering and Donations

Just as Moses is aware that he cannot personally undertake everything that needs to be done in running the community of ancient Israelites, so leaders in every organisation and institution know that they require the help of others.  This is true also of BRS and so we are always pleased to welcome volunteers for all that is necessary to successfully run our Synagogue.  Either our Chair, Deborah Tendler, or Rabbi Maurice will be delighted to discuss with you how you might be able to bring your skills for the benefit of  BRS and its members.

BRS is always looking to support the local community through its charity work. BRS has long been a supporter of the Hannah Levy House Trust for example, which operates a care home for the elderly in Bournemouth. We also raise funds for WIZO UK, an organisation which does a lot of work to support disadvantaged women and children in Israel.

We are always on the look out for good causes to support, both local and national. If you would like to get in touch with us regarding our High Holy Day appeal then please contact the synagogue office.

It is also worth recognising that BRS is itself a charitable organisation which provides a service to the local community. If you would like to support our work with a voluntary donation, then please do drop us a line.
